3th Floor AI · Open Model
3thfloor-tester is a fine-tuned language model built for software quality professionals. It knows context-driven testing, bug advocacy, test design heuristics, ISTQB fundamentals, and the philosophy behind the AST community. It runs entirely on your machine. No cloud. No subscription.
Training Corpus
This model was trained on material that matters to working testers, not generic web text. Ask it something real and it will give you a real answer.
The seven principles, the school of thought, the arguments for and against best practices. It knows why CDT rejects universals and what that means in practice.
Core concepts, terminology, and the foundational knowledge base. Not a cert prep tool. A solid grasp of the vocabulary the field actually uses.
How to write a bug report that gets fixed. How to argue for severity. How to communicate risk to decision-makers who are not testers. The persuasion side of quality work.
SFDPOT, the Heuristic Test Strategy Model, equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, and the thinking behind each. Applied, not just defined.
The Association for Software Testing, its history, its community, and the Black Box Software Testing curriculum built by Cem Kaner, James Bach, and the LAWST community.
Dates, format, pricing, session structure, Open Season facilitation, and the philosophy that makes CAST different from every other testing conference.

These prompts show where 3thfloor-tester goes beyond general AI. Copy any of them and run it locally.
Get Started
CAST attendees: all files are on your thumb drive. Everyone else: download below. Pick the path that fits your setup.
Install Ollama from ollama.com. Available for Mac, Linux, and Windows.
Copy the files to your local disk, open a terminal in that folder, and import both models:
Run the baseline first, ask it a testing question, then run the fine-tuned version and ask the same thing:
Download a pre-built llama-server binary from the llama.cpp releases page for your OS. Or build from source.
Copy the GGUF from your thumb drive, then start the server:
Open http://localhost:8080 in your browser, or call the OpenAI-compatible API at /v1/chat/completions.
Download LM Studio from lmstudio.ai. Available for Mac, Windows, and Linux.
In LM Studio, go to My Models and drag the GGUF file from your thumb drive into the window. LM Studio will import it automatically.
Select 3thfloor-tester from the model list and start chatting in the built-in chat interface, or enable the local server for API access.
3th Floor Studios
3th Floor Studios runs AI workshops, 1:1 consulting, and hands-on training for teams who want to stop talking about AI and start using it. If you left CAST thinking about what this could look like at your organization, that is the conversation we should have.
